Job Description
The postholder will respond to incoming enquiries and invitations to tender, preparing detailed E&I tender submissions. Based at the company head office, Wigan premises, duties include the review of tenders for selection, assess and quantify materials, labour and other resource, preparation of tenders to company standard, preparation of programmes, agree contract terms and conditions
Key Responsibilities
- Design review of tender documents
- Tender reviews and selection
- Work to tender return deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of communication
- Commercial Management and budget preparation
- Use of excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
- Preparation of Resource Loaded Programmes
- Attendance at Contract Award meetings
- Handover to project delivery team
- Communication with Client and Suppliers
- Contractual Awareness
- Preparation of Tender Submissions and maintain high level of presentation
- To assess and quantify materials, labour and any other resource to successfully carry out the project requirements
- Prioritise Workload
- Communication with clients/suppliers in a professional manner as required by the company.
- Maintain a good company image at all times.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of current legislation and guidelines applicable to the role
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of client standard specifications.
- Comply fully with the company policy and procedures.
- Commitment to further training and development courses.
Person Specificaion
Essential Qualifications
- Apprenticeship
- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
- Suitable Electrical Engineering Qualification or significant experience estimating E&I projects
Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 5 years industrial experience in Electrical & Instrumentation
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience of industrial control systems and E&I installations
